Betnovate-C Cream is a combination of two different medicines. It is used in the treatment of bacterial skin infections. It also helps to treat inflammatory skin conditions by relieving symptoms like redness, swelling, and itching.
Betnovate-C Cream is meant for external use only and should be used as advised by your doctor. Apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected areas of the skin using clean, dry hands. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse thoroughly with water. Complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. If your condition does not improve or gets worse, inform your doctor.
The most common side effects of this medicine include itching, dryness, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. These are usually self-limiting. Serious side effects are rare. How Betnovate-C Cream works
Betnovate-C Cream is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin). Betamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) is an antibiotic with additional antifungal action. It works by preventing the growth and multiplication of both bacteria and fungi.
